Firstly, thank you so much for visiting my blog. I do hope that you find my blogs interesting!

I have always wanted to start a blog, and whilst I feel I am slightly late to the game, I am so excited that I have finally joined the blog-writing gang!

So, a bit about me… I completed my PhD in December 2019 in Environmental Science in the School of Biology at the University of Leeds and part of the Ecology and Evolution research group – please do check it out! I also have a Masters in Environmental Politics and Policy and a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and Wildlife Conservation.

In particular I focus on increasing awareness around invasive species and trying to encourage pro-environmental behaviours (such as biosecurity practices) among individuals.

My blog will really be a mixture of things, from talking about topics that I research, PhD life, places I have visited and so on.

As you can also see, I absolutely love animals, and taking pictures with animals. So I plan on using these as much as I can on my blog to brighten it up, and even if you’re not interested in what I write, hopefully my pictures will be enough to make you smile.

I really hope you enjoy, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via email.

Over and out. Dr. S
